Films made at TAW 2023.
This project was particularly interesting because it was my first time learning how to lip-sync and animate a character performing while speaking. It was also one of the last films I created during the course, and it showcases how much I had progressed compared to my earlier animations at The Animation Workshop.
This project focused on expressing clear character motivations and emotions through acting. It was created shortly after I attended an extensive acting workshop, where I learned how to create reference footage suitable for animation.
My main focus was on achieving clear poses and readable actions, giving the animation a stronger pose-to-pose feel. The most challenging part was making the held poses feel alive, which is something I still feel was not fully polished in this particular piece.
Missing Phone was my final project created at The Animation Workshop in 2023, as well as my first group project during the course. I modelled most of the props, handled the texturing and rendering, and also animated the three shots shown in the video.
